It is not without good reason that Ischgl has been known as the lifestyle metropolis of the Alps for many years. The winter sports resort impresses with its top class snow fun and emphasises new features each year in its high calibre entertainment programme. The highlights of the coming season include the Top of the Mountain concerts featuring international music stars, the ‘Forms in White’ snow sculpture competition and the Chefs’ Star Cup. The cross-border winter sports resort of Ischgl is one of the largest continuous ski resorts in the Alps and impresses discerning winter sports fans with its perfectly prepared pistes and extensive fun parks.
The location
Ischgl with its approx. 1,600 inhabitants is the best known community in the winter sports region of Paznaun in western Tyrol. The Austrian holiday resort is located at an altitude of 1,377 m in a sunny mountain valley between the Silvretta and Verwall peaks. The communities of Galtür, Kappl and See are based nearby.
