Namur is a city of water, nestling at the intersection of the magnificent Meuse and Sambre valleys.  Be carried along by the current as  you take a cruise and explore the waterways of Namur.  Discover the Mosan villas dotted along the river banks, the Parliament of Wallonia set between the river and the Citadel, the strawberry museum and much more besides! Cruise boat, “Namourette” (small retro whalers) or even stand-up paddle, it’s up to you! 

Set in the heart of Old Namur, by 2020 the complex known as “Les Bateliers” will welcome the Museum of Archaeology and its rich collections from Prehistoric Times tot the Middle-Ages in a brand-new exhibition space with contemporary museography.  It will also house the Museum of Decorative Arts in a charming 18th century mansion (Hôtel de Groesbeeck de Croix) and be linked by its public gardens to the Félicien Rops museum.

Standing in the historical heart of Namur, Saint-Loup church is one of the gems of Baroque art in the old southern Low Countries (Belgium).  The vault, marble and furniture (confessionals and communion rail) make this church part of the exceptional heritage of Wallonia.
