Princes Island
Travel by foot, carriage, bicycle, take your pick but motor vehicles are not welcome. The main island, Buyukada, covers an area of 5km ²’ ; we recommend that you take a small supply of food and drinks on arrival on the island and then lose yourselves away from the beaten track and away from Çankaya Caddesi and its army of frantic horse-drawn carriages.
There are bike rental shops but bear in mind that you may miss some places where the road is extremely steep.
Istiklal Caddesi
How can you pack 3 million people in the same street? This is what happens every day and during the wekend in this huge shopping street of Istanbul. With its shops, bookstores, art galleries, theatres, libraries, cafés, pubs, nightclubs, historic pastry shops, restaurants and coffee shops with 360 degree views of Istanbul, this avenue is a must for your stay in Istanbul.
